Missions
Visitors who want a guided experience at INFINITY can choose
to participate in a Training Mission by signing up at the
Command Center. While six different missions will be developed
for INFINITY’s opening, on any given day two will be
offered to visitors.
The missions place visitors in the role of “scientists
in training,” learning how scientists tackle real-world
issues. When possible, the focus will be on the Gulf of Mexico
region and the work accomplished by scientists at Stennis.
Space-related missions will broaden that focus, but they will
also incorporate activities taking place at Stennis that support
the work of other NASA facilities.
By embarking on a mission visitors learn:
About the two training missions offered that day.
Select and sign up for a training mission.
Receive a stamp identifying them as a member of a training
mission team.
Are assigned to a mission table where they will begin
their training mission.
