Map My World

Map My World allows visitors to create unique, personalized views of their hometown or other areas of special interest. Visitors navigate through a database of visual information that may include political maps, species distributions, topography, demographics, and other information to select data about their particular
geographic location. Visitors can overlay this information on their map to create a unique visual image that they can take home.

Features of the Map My World Activity include:

• The ability to choose between several ways of displaying data using 2D maps.
• The ability to zoom in and around a map of the United States and choose an area to map.
• Immediate access to various types of data, displayed visually, to overlay onto the map.
• The ability to print out a take home version of their custom map.
